Dishwasher Heating System

Heating System Diagnosis

Tools Needed for Diagnosis:

  • Multimeter
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Insulated pliers
  • Safety gloves
  • Circuit tester

Step-by-Step Heating Diagnosis

  1. Safety First: Disconnect dishwasher from power supply and turn off water supply before beginning any diagnostic work.
  2. Visual Inspection: Check heating element for visible damage, burns, or corrosion. Look for water leakage around heating area.
  3. Power Supply Check: Verify that dishwasher is receiving proper 230V power supply to heating circuit.
  4. Heating Element Test: Use multimeter to check heating element resistance. Normal range: 20-30 ohms.
  5. Thermostat Testing: Test thermal cut-out and thermostat for continuity and proper operation.
  6. Wiring Inspection: Check all heating circuit wiring for damage, loose connections, or corrosion.
  7. Control Board Check: Verify that control board is sending proper signals to heating circuit.
Warning: Always disconnect from power before testing. Working with live electricity can cause serious injury or death.
