Heating System Diagnosis
Tools Needed for Diagnosis:
- Multimeter
- Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
- Insulated pliers
- Safety gloves
- Circuit tester
Step-by-Step Heating Diagnosis
- Safety First: Disconnect dishwasher from power supply and turn off water supply before beginning any diagnostic work.
- Visual Inspection: Check heating element for visible damage, burns, or corrosion. Look for water leakage around heating area.
- Power Supply Check: Verify that dishwasher is receiving proper 230V power supply to heating circuit.
- Heating Element Test: Use multimeter to check heating element resistance. Normal range: 20-30 ohms.
- Thermostat Testing: Test thermal cut-out and thermostat for continuity and proper operation.
- Wiring Inspection: Check all heating circuit wiring for damage, loose connections, or corrosion.
- Control Board Check: Verify that control board is sending proper signals to heating circuit.

Heating Element Replacement
Preparation Steps
Disconnect power and water supply. Remove lower spray arm and filter assembly. Drain any remaining water from the dishwasher sump.
Accessing Heating Element
Remove the base plate or kick panel. For some models, you may need to tilt the dishwasher forward to access the heating element from below.
Removing Old Element
Disconnect electrical wires (note positions). Remove mounting nuts or screws. Carefully pull heating element out of its housing.
Installing New Element
Clean mounting surface. Install new sealing gasket. Insert new heating element and secure with mounting hardware.
Electrical Connections
Reconnect wires to correct terminals. Ensure all connections are tight and properly insulated.
Testing Installation
Reassemble all components. Restore power and water. Run test cycle to verify proper heating operation.
